Please join us at VCU Siegel Center for a tour of the new modular chiller plant which was just completed in 2018. We will have a chance to network togegther, tour the new plant, and hear from the lead project manager, Matt Magruder. We will meet behind the Siegel Center at the 1300 W Marshall Street building in the Long & Foster Room for our networking hour and then work our way over as a group to the new chiller plant. The Siegel Center previously had an ice plant installed which was ineffiecient and could not keep up with the constant dempand of a fully housed arena. During events such as back-to-back graduations VCU would have to rent temporary supplemental cooling to keep up with the load. Come hear Matt speak about the project and how this new York modular chiller plant will improve their capacity and efficiency, as well as eliminate the need for supplemental cooing during events held at the Siegel Center. Also hear about how the Siegel Center project will continue with the construction of a new baseball batting cage in the place of the old ice plant. Street parking is available, as well as the Barnes & Noble Broad Street parking deck diagonally across from the Siegel Center.
